CeSTaR 3: Experimental Database

The database contains experimental results from uniaxial compression tests on concrete cylindrical specimens subjected to passive confinement provided by metal hoops. The available data include concrete mixture compositions, standard physical properties, and complete stress–strain responses (axial and, where available, lateral strains).

The dataset covers concrete mixtures with different levels of Portland cement replacement, quantified as Supplementary Cementitious Materials (SCM) rates. Various types of SCMs are included, such as ground granulated blast furnace slag, fly ash, natural pozzolans, and finely ground limestone.

The concrete specimens were tested under different levels of passive confinement. The corresponding effective confinement is defined as

The database allows users to filter and download selected records, as well as to contribute new experimental data.

To add new data to the database, select the appropriate strength class and cement type, then enter the mixture composition. The SCM content will be calculated automatically.

The corresponding data file must be in CSV format with two (or three) columns: “stress”, “axial strain”, and optionally “lateral strain”. The entries in each row must be separated by semicolons, and the file must not contain any header rows.
